With June 24 coming near, there are reports that more and more women are trying to be part of Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life. As of now, some 1,100 women have confirmed their presence in the 5k women-only event and there are expectations that the remaining 400 seats would also be filled soon before it closes on Wednesday. Participants would be given the option to walk, jog or run the 5k route.

Women are being urged to come forward and take part in the race to make their valuable contribution for a noble cause. It is known that Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life has been doing a lot in terms of raising funds for those who are grappling with cancer in some or the other way. There are some 200 types of cancer and that’s what calls for more and more funds to be injected in the same so that cure can be developed.

“We are absolutely thrilled that so many women have entered Race for Life in Hartlepool. Together, they will help us create a fantastic atmosphere on the day and raise crucial funds to help beat cancer”, said Claire Wase, event manager for Race for Life in the North-East.
