How proud one feels after hearing that their simple deed saved life of a person! Yes such acts can save a life. Why become so mean, as it is in today’s fast moving world, we don’t have a single minute to spare for others. But this deed can do wonders.

So, why not step forward and help save lives of others and the same time even encourage others to help save lives?

Each year, June 14 is celebrated world wide as official Blood Donor Day. On this day, people also remember Karl Landsteiner, for his contribution to the world after he discovered ABO blood group system. The Nobel-prize winner’s birthday falls on this day.

This day also marks the beginning of second National Blood Donor Week. Those of who donate blood affirmed that it is all together a different feeling to donate blood and feel proud that the blood will be used further to save life of someone.

There are a few who have been donating since the past many years. Rather, for a few, it has been discovered that they have already reached the mark of donating blood 100-times and even more. Still they feel very excited and are always there to donate blood.
