It seems that there is going to be tough time ahead of Georgia as it has been claimed that Georgia’s Medicaid funds are facing an acute shortage. While it is seeing a lack of $90 Million this year, it is expected to face a fall of $300 Million.

There are chances that there would be appeal made to the state legislature for extending financial help of some $308.2 million for fiscal 2013. With the health care program also reeling under bad condition this year, there are high expectations that things would become all the more worst in the time to come if actions are not being taken in the same context.

It has further been claimed by Commissioner David Cook that there can be in excess of $600 million annual Medicaid deficit in the next three years if the current condition is being seen. However, it has been found that there are chances of some sort of changes to be made in Medicaid so that it can be addressed properly. It has further been made clear that the redesign is totally targeted to promote long term savings for those who are currently dealing with serious diseases.

It is believed that redesigning of Medicaid would be able to cater to the program's financial crisis, thereby making it a lot better for Georgia.
