As per recent reports, it has been revealed that a vehicle carrying national security payload that was scheduled to be launched on June 18 that is Monday has been postponed. Further, reports suggest that the 19-storey vehicle that was to be launched in orbit carries the payload for U. S. National Reconnaissance Office.
It has been reported that the payload had to be launched through an Atlas V vehicle, developed by United Launch Alliance in Decatur. Sources suggest that the rocket was moved out to launch pad this Saturday.
However, it has been recovered that due to major disturbances administered in the launch pad’s environmental control system, the launch of the payload had to be dismissed.
In a statement made by the National Launch Alliance this Sunday, it has been said: “The launch team identified a duct failure on the mobile launch platform. The launch platform was rolled back to the assembly hangar this morning so that repairs could be made”.
Latest reports suggest that National Launch Alliance officials have assured that the launch will be carried out from Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on Wednesday. Moreover, as per weather forecast, 70% of the conditions will support the launch.
