An online survey carried out by Nanos Research has shown that a majority of doctors and MDs in Ontario are unhappy with the way the provincial government deals with the labour, says a recent report.
The survey that was conducted between May 28 and June 4 included a total of 5,596 physicians i. e. almost 20% of total physicians in the province. All the participants were questioned about the kind of negotiations being held between the Ontario Medical Association and the provincial government.
It was found that nearly eight in every ten of the participant MDs were not satisfied with the method government was handling labour negotiations.
The team had noted that they believed the negotiations being offered were unjustified as well as the government was being careless in its duty.
Also, the study commissioned by the OMA says that currently, nine in every ten physicians have been seeking that a mediator should and must intervene in the same so as to bring a change in the ongoing system of negotiations.
Nik Nanos, who is the president and CEO of Nanos Research, said, "The reality is losing any doctors is not going to be good for health care in Ontario. It will have a negative impact".
