“We will be able to deliver a range of new projects that will improve our infrastructure, community facilities and council services for the benefit of our community”, said Mayor Henry McLaughlin from Macedon Ranges Shire.

It has been found that the Kyneton Transition Hub has planned many things and for the same, he has been seeking funding from the Leader Local Grants Program.

The program was released last week only, as per the findings, which is aimed at helping the community. It is being said that the hub from the Sunbury/Macedon Ranges is the first one to apply for a grant of nearly $1000.

However, the group has previously run a community swap table at the Kyneton Farmers Market along with a film night. Also, it was the organizer of many garden blitzes across the town.

But, Julie McLaren, the group convener says that since its launch last year at Kyneton Daffodil Festival, it has been thinking of implementing some ideas.

All including organizations and individuals are being asked to give their ideas on the Leader website so that each group of Macedon could see and then vote in favour or against the funding. Voting can be done from July 9-20 and the list of ideas would be available soon on the website, says the group.
