Lets Dress Up In Pink for This Race for Life

It’s time to dress up for Cancer Research UK's Race for Life. Pink was the theme of this event, a huge crowd waved across Royal Windsor Racecourse on Saturday and Sunday. As many as 6,500 women were a part of this event dressed up in pink skirts, pink wigs and also fairy wings.

The first to finish the race was a nine-year-old Abbie Jones, a primary student from Holyport CofE Primary School. It has been reported that the little girl was a part of the race for the second time. It was a moment of joy for the girl, when she finished first. She said, “I was very excited to finish first. I'm looking forward to showing my friends at school my medal”.

The event apart from raising funds for cancer research and patients struggling for their lives with the deadly disease fills the air with emotions. People remember their loved ones, whom they lost due to the disease, while a few others feel the pain of their loved ones, who are still fighting their way out.

Marianne Randolph, 23, one of the participants at the event stated that she was a part of the event due to her dad, whom she lost in August due to cancer.
