Africans Loved Milk

Africans Loved Milk

Rearing of dairy animals dates back to some 10,000 years ago. It has been recently revealed through a research being taken out by Julie Dunne at the University of Bristol that Africans used to consume large amount of milk and milk products and were into rearing business as well.

The research, which is one of a kind, was based on pictorial depictions as well as on the study of fossilized bones of cattle, cows and goats, which dated back to 7,000 years. Dunne said that they have also studied pictorial representations, which have figures of people milking the dairy animals.

“The unambiguous conclusion is that the appearance of dairy fats correlates with the abundant presence of cattle bones in the cave deposits, suggesting a full pastoral economy”, said the study researchers.

Dunne said that the research has revealed them to reach at a conclusion that milk and its products were an inevitable part of human existence. It is also possible that people migrating from Europe and eastern parts of the world had developed habit of milking in Africans, as they used to love milk.

There can be many factors, which has led milking habit among Africans, and a further research can reveal much more about the same.
