It seems it would take some more time for chronic ear infection reported in school children in north-west Western Australia to give some relief. It was found that the fear about the same has gone to the extent that a state parliamentary committee has named it as "Third World".

There is need for steps to be taken so that some sort of solution for the disease can be found out before it’s too late. Looking at the gravity of the situation, calls are being made to bring some changes in Aboriginal health services and the same has been backed by the Australian Medical Association.

There is dire need of funding too so that this situation can be improved. "There is a need for younger children ... the children we see at the Aboriginal Medical Service are screened here and we do follow through but there definitely is a need for more health promotion”, said Carnarvon Aboriginal Medical Service's Tracey Harbour, who as of now is conducting screening programs to know a lot more about the same.

Looking at the current situation, resources are being called for so that the disease can be controlled and people can be saved from falling victim to the disease.
