It has been revealed in a new report that frightening white sharks have still been surviving at the coasts of Western Australia and Cape Cod.
Beachgoers are highly afraid of being attacked by one, as one of the members from a team of Australian surf skiers had recently been hit by one in the Mullalo Beach near Perth.
The Western Australia Department of Fisheries has revealed that the man tended to fell off into the water from the kayak. And the incident led them to find that white sharks, which had once in 1975 threatened many with the movie Jaws’s premiere, are present off the coasts.
A similar finding has come from Cape Cod too, which says that two white sharks have been seen off the coast in the Atlantic Ocean.
While the sudden attack for a while on the Australian skier did not let the surf skiers’ team to identify the size or kind of shark, it is being doubted that it was most probably a giant white one.
It has been found that that a team has started to tag these sharks since 2009 off Cape Cod. “We place the tags while they're swimming in shallow water close to the boat", said Greg Skomal, a senior biologist.
