Fructose lovers have got an opportunity to gorge on it again, as a recent study has revealed that it is not as bad as it is thought. The study being led by Dr. John Sievenpiper was of the view that overconsumption of anything is bad, and same is with fructose.

Fructose is generally associated with obesity, but it has been found that having some won’t affect much. In order to reach at the above given trial, the study researchers assessed 18 studies, which included 209 participants.

Participants, who took part in the survey, were the ones, who were either suffering from Type 1 or 2 diabetes. After having fructose for a while, it was found that the study participants noticed an improvement in their blood sugar control.

Co-author of the study Adrian Cozma was of the view that fructose can be beneficial, but only if it is not consumed in large amount. "All negative attention on fructose-related harm draws further away from the issue of eating too many calories”, further affirmed Cozma.

There is no doubt that the topic needs further research and only then something could be said in concrete. However, till that study researchers have given an opportunity to have chocolates.
