Inquest Into Alan Turing’s Death

Inquest Into Alan Turing’s Death

The results revealed by an inquest in 1954 regarding Alan Turing’s death are being claimed as lacking evidence. As per a latest report, it is being said that it was not so-called suicidal case, but instead it was probably an accident.

Alan Turing, born on 23 June, was a British mathematical genius as well as a codebreaker. Today is his hundredth birth anniversary.

While, his death has ever since been related to cyanide poisoning. Alan was frightened since when he had heard in the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves about a poisoned apple. As he was seen dead at the age of 41 years in his bed with a half-eaten apple by his bedside, it was believed that he must have applied the same measure to end himself.

Further, he also was suffering harassment because of his homosexuality, which gave more evidence of his poisoning himself. But, it is being said by Turing expert Prof. Jack Copeland that the evidence would no more be accepted.

He has affirmed in a conference held in Oxford on Saturday that he had the habit of having an apple. However, a coroner Mr. JAK Ferns says that such a man could never be taken for sure about what he does next. Prof. Jack continues that he would need evidence of pre-meditation.
