Yesterday, the Health Minister Tanya Plibersek made the announcement of cheaper and affordable medicines. The announcement thus made would definitely help patients suffering cystic fibrosis to get their medicines without fearing of prices.

It has been reported that among the cheaper medicines, a brand new inhaler Bronchitol is also included. The inhaler is helpful in reducing the accumulation of mucus in the lungs of cystic fibrosis patients.

The inhaler is potable and can be used by young ones as well. It has further been informed that in the coming days, more announcements would be made in regard to cheaper and affordable medicines.

Tanya Plibersek is hopeful that the move by the Government would prove fruitful. She was reported saying, “This will ensure more patients have greater access to the medicines and treatment they need at subsidised prices”.

It has come to light that medicine Eylea, which is used for treating macular degeneration, would also be provided under affordable prices. The move by the government would provide relief to many patients who are also facing financial difficulties because of global financial crisis. The listing of the cheaper medicines would be made public soon.
