As per recent reports, it has been revealed that doctors across Tanzania have launched a strike to increase their pays at public hospitals. However, it has been reported that a top medical officer has claimed that he had been kidnapped by some unknown people and was tormented.
Ulimboka said, “I was abducted at gunpoint on Tuesday night by five men and taken to a forest on the outskirts of the commercial capital Dar es Salaam where I was beaten”.
It has been administered that leader, Steven Ulimboka, was immediately rushed to Tanzania's biggest referral hospital, Muhimbili, to be treated for his injuries.
It has been reported that the cost of living has increased in Tanzania. As a consequence, the government is being pressurized by workers from public sectors and even workers from other departments.
Further on, Ulimboka, Chairman of the Medical Association of Tanzania, declared that on Friday, doctors across the nation will be stepping up a strike to ask for a better pay and better conditions at the workplace. It is being warned that due to the strike, many of the patients will go unattended; many of the appointments will be cancelled and thus postponed across the hospitals in the state.
