Injecting Oxygen To Keep Patients Alive

Injecting Oxygen To Keep Patients Alive

Now if you anytime feel short of breath, then visit your doctor immediately because he can actually get you rid of this problem.

Yes, recently in a major research, doctors along with particle scientists from Boston and Chemical engineers have found that if a patient feels difficulty in breathing then by injecting the tiny, gas-filled micro-particles directly into their bloodstream, this problem can be treated. These particles once injected; quickly produces oxygen into the blood and serve patients with problem free breath.

Every month, a large number of patients suffer from acute lung failure or their airway gets obstructed, due to which there has to be a substitute for supplying oxygen to the blood; for such patients, this treatment is a boon. These gas-filled micro-particles are capable of helping such patients avoid cardiac arrest and brain injury also.

For conducting this study, scientists experimented over rabbits that were having low blood oxygen levels. Upon infusion of these particles into their blood, scientists noticed an immediate augmentation of blood oxygen levels in their body. They were almost near-normal levels within seconds. In case of trachea completely blocked, this concoction gave animals a life for another 15 minutes and that too without a single breath.
