A recent case of an 11-year-old boy found unconscious at the bottom of an outdoor swimming pool has been getting the attention of one and all. It was told that the boy studying at Ferryhill Primary School in Aberdeen was spotted at the outdoor sea-water pool at Stonehaven, in Aberdeenshire. Though he was immediately hospitalized at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, it was told that he was indeed in a serious condition.
There is no latest update about his health condition, though he is reported to have been shifted to Edinburgh’s Sick Children’s Hospital for better treatment. In response to the investigation kicked, it has been claimed that the pool would be closed till the time nothing concrete is being find out about the case. The boy is reported to be among the team of 24 pupils from Ferryhill who were there for an end of term trip. It was only after lifeguards along with a member of the public came forward that the boy was pulled out.
“We are taking the investigation very seriously and the pool will remain shut until such time as we are sure it is appropriate to reopen it”, said Wilfred Weir, Aberdeenshire Council’s head of service for education and leisure, while asserting that efforts are being made by authorities concerned to make sure that actual circumstances leading to the case could be find out.
