While there is no doubt that every women aspire to look the best on their weeding day, health experts are warning women to be careful about their diet before they suffer from long-term health issues. It has been claimed by XLS-Medical that some five million women in the UK shed kilos just to make sure that they look the best before they walk down.

It was also claimed that in some 57% of such cases, women do gain weight after their honeymoon, thereby sending a message across that crash diet does no good for anyone. “Drastic and rapid weight loss for a particular event or occasion, such as a wedding, is not advisable for a number of reasons”, said Dr Matt Capehorn, Clinical Director at the National Obesity Forum.

Instead of going for a crash diet, there is need for women to go on a gradual weight loss else they are likely to put on weight later. But, the problem lies in the fact that women become all the more desperate to shed weight as soon as their D day is fixed.

There is need for women to understand that there is nothing over and beyond health for anyone and they must not stress themselves beyond the line.
