What all has been done recently by the Mumbai doctors is really not less than any miracle both for science and for a 75-year-old elderly man who has been freed from a 12.5 cm long worm present in his eyes. Reading the below news will definitely make us all say that ‘miracles do happen’.

The incidence is of Indian city of Mumbai, when a famous eye surgeon noticed a long parasite in his patient’s eye and immediately ran him for the operation to remove the worm at the earliest possible before it starts making any damage to him.

Mr. PK Krishnamurthy, 75, since two weeks was feeling irritation and redness in his right eye. Dr. V Seetharaman’s team at Fortis hospital while examining his eye under the microscope was shocked to see a 12.5 cm long worm lying below his conjunctiva.

Mr. Krishnamurthy was immediately ran for the operation and has his eye now free from the parasite.

“The case was "extremely unusual and he was lucky the worm had not ended up in his brain”, the hospital's medical director, Dr. S Narayani, told the BBC. "Such cases are not unknown but they are unusual for their rarity.” Mr. Krishnamurthy is now on a recovering side.
