Debate Still On!

Debate is going harder to conclude if the Affordable Care Act (popular as Obamacare) has much of good to do to the Americans, or there is a bad thing in this law for them.

In context to same, good support has been witnessed recently by several mental health advocates as well, who lent their support to the Supreme Court’s decision of upholding the Affordable Care Act openly.

Moreover, institutions like Mental Health America and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) have also submitted statements as a response to the above ruling.

Granting their support to the decision, Dr. David Shern, President and CEO of Mental Health America said in his statement that they are entirely backing the court’s law.

He added that his institution’s focus is to serve efforts for the expansion of care to people suffering from mental health problems or even substance use conditions. Delays in treatment for mental health problems commonly occur due to substance use conditions thereby adding a greater risk of disease as compared to any other illness.

Both the institutions have appealed more state representatives to step forward and lend their support for this Medicaid expansion enabling eligible Americans to timely receive mental health as well as substance use services.
