It seems that obesity has gripped almost all countries around the world as it has been claimed that as many as half of Australian adults who haven’t done fair enough in education are more likely to gain excessive weight by 2025. It has been claimed by team led by Baker IDI researcher Dr. Kathryn Backholer that there is dire need to address the issue of obesity before it’s too late.
Published in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health, the study shows that it has become highly imperative that governments, health authorities and educators pay heed to the results of the study and take actions in the same context.
It has been claimed that steps to improve obesity prevention and management strategies are need of the hour so that the issue is being thoroughly addressed. It is to be noted that there is a significant link between one’s educational status and likelihood of being obese. There are so many factors which affect one’s overall health.
There is no doubt that obesity triggers range of diseases and that’s what makes it all the more serious that how to root out the scar of obesity once and for all. There is need of collaboratve efforts to address the issue.
