Among the teens of the US, the trend of sexting is increasing rapidly as research has showed that one third of the teenagers are sharing their nude pictures with their peers. It has further come to light that six out of ten teenagers are asked to send their nude pictures.

The research was conducted by the researchers of Texas University. The researchers conducted a survey on seven schools of the US. While making the results of the research public, the researchers said that teens involved in sexting are more likely to have sex at an early age.

The lead author of the research, Jeff Temple, said, "In fact, nearly all girls were bothered by having been asked, and among boys, more than half were bothered at least a little". According to the researchers, the trend of exchanging the nude pictures is becoming popular among teens.

The findings of the research have been published in the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. Parents of teens need to get alert as teens are using internet to share nude pictures. The nude pictures uploaded can also be used for wrong purposes. Therefore, teens need to be made aware of it.
