It has been reported that about 60 children in Cambodia have succumbed to death in the past three months because of an unknown cause. In order to believe the medical experts, an unknown or mysterious disease is leading to the death of the children.

Although it has been informed that a mysterious disease is affecting the lives of children, it is yet to be found if the diseases is communicable in nature. A spokesperson of World Health Organization, Aphaluck Bhatiasevi informed that the health workers are trying to gauge the disease which is taking its toll over the lives of children.

The children who have become the victim of the mysterious disease are said to be below the age of 10. The first incidence of the disease was reported in the month of April, this year. Ly Sovann from Cambodia's Ministry of Health said, “We can't make any conclusions yet… We need to have further investigations… we are not on alert yet”. The authorities need to understand the emergency of the case and should initiate investigation as soon as possible. It is hoped that the health workers would be able to find the cause of the disease timely.
