A US woman, 31, is under arrest by a hospital police for complaints that she had supposedly assaulted a policeman after two days of delivering her baby, says a recent report.

It has been found that Carla Murphy was then naked and had tried to bite the policeman. She had also shouted at nurses and other staff. The incident took place after two days when she had given birth in a maternity ward at Altoona Regional Medical Centre in Pennsylvania.

While the woman was being observed since her alleged act, her act of standing on bed and punching a nurse made the hospital staff to call the police.

Investigations into the matter by the police however helped them to discover varied signs of drug use by the lady, including a silver package with a doubtful white substance and a lighter. Also, evidence was found that she had inhaled "Disco", a synthetic stimulant, also called bath salts.

The same was confirmed when hospital staff told that she was a drug addict. The police found needles and drugs in her bedroom at her home.

And therefore, the woman as well as her boyfriend Michael Stewart has now been asked to appear at a court hearing, which is to be held next month.
