US celebrates July as National Ice cream Month

July is celebrated as National Ice cream month in America. It was in 1984 that the then American President Ronald Reagan announced that July will be celebrated as National Ice Cream Month. He further affirmed that third Sunday of July will be celebrated as National Ice Cream Day.

With the revelation of the fact, it has lead to reveal some more facts and one being that America is considered to be the ice cream capital in the world. It produces more than 1.5 gallons of ice cream in a year and every American consumes 22 quarts of ice cream and that too in a year.

As per the sales of ice-cream, Vanilla bags the first position and then comes the turn of chocolate. If to talk about, who is more interested in having ice-cream then children from two to 12 and elderly above the age group of 45 are the ones, who love having ice cream.

Most astonishing part of the story is that about 9% of the milk produced in the US is used for making ice creams and nut and strawberries are considered to most popular eatables to be added in ice creams. While indulging in ice cream, US people do not forget to include their furry friends to have one.
