Atos IT Workers May Continue Strike During Olympics Too

A recent report shocked one and all indicating that Atos IT workers might go for a strike before the London Olympics. It was just due to the unexpected low pay offered that the Public and Commercial Services union thought of taking the final call. It is believed that there is going to be a ballot vote for the same so that it can be decided among over members across Atos Healthcare and Atos IT Services, whether or not, to take part in the strike during the much awaited Olympic Games.

"In sponsoring the Olympics, Atos would like the world to associate it with a spirit of effort and success, but the reality is that it makes its millions on the backs of its low-paid staff’, said PCS general secretary Mark Serwotka.

It was further claimed that it was due to Atos refusal to offer the required wage, fulfilling the basic needs, irked the workers to an extent that they took this big decision. It was further claimed that there could be serious loss of workers in case this strike finally took place. However, an Atos spokesperson has cleared the air by assuring that there would not be any bad effect during the Olympics in case the strike continues.
