It has been found that the medication is still available at online stores, at expensive prices though, and has been attracting addicts to grab the same.

Even after cease of manufacture of the medicine since January this year and huge warnings that it might carry chipped tablets or broken ones, people have been continuing to buy it. Also, they are using this drug as well as Bufferin, No-Doz and Gas-X., despite the company’s claims that these may be mixed with stray capsules and caplets.

It is being said that steep prices also do not matter to patients of migraines, when it comes to having the medication. They have been happily paying $144.95 for 50 Excedrin Extra Strength two-tablet packs or sometimes $245.99 for a similar package.

Since, online purchase is harmful, according to medical experts. Thus, the company says, “Novartis Consumer Health will restart production on a line-by-line, product-by-product basis to ensure control and adherence to our high standard of quality”.
