Too Much Television not Good for Kids Health!

As a parent, it becomes your sole responsibility to stop your child from watching so much of television. Know why: because in a US research, it has been discovered that all those young children who prefer watching television for long hours on daily basis tend to gain more and more weight as they approach their adulthood.

As said by senior author Linda Pagani (Université de Montréal, Canada) in a press statement: "The findings support clinical suspicions that more screen time in general contributes to the rise of excess weight in our population".

An analysis was made by the researchers using data from 1314 children. All of them participated in a child development study in which they were made watch television for one hour extra every week. All of them were between the ages of 29 months and 53 months that time. And after the completion of study, what researchers noted was shocking: with similar diet and routines as before, children showed a 0.047 cm increase in their waist circumference, when they became 10 years old.

Apart from this, children who watched television for 18 hours per week showed an increase of 0.76cm in their waist circumference by the age of 10. Ratio of such children out of the group was around 15%. In a nutshell, don’t let young kids watch television beyond the recommended amounts. It’s not good in any way.
