A recent report has uncovered that NHS Commissioning Board has been planning to build up a new body that could help it sustain as well as improve the existing healthcare services.
It has been told that the commissioning board would be granting the new organization, which is aimed at practicing pioneering tools and promoting innovation. Health experts believe that the current level of productivity or innovation needs improvement.
Also, the extent of quality of care and prevention challenge that might possibly go on for coming 10 years also demand a “system-wide response”. And the new organization would pave a way for the fulfillment of all these requirements.
It is further being said that the new body would act as an assistant group to NHS bodies. Since, it would allow them easy access to existing partnerships, including the Advancing Quality Alliance or NHS Quest meant for quality and safety.
“The board is trying to set this up as a system resource that responds to the needs of players in the system. We’re trying to act as stewards for that”, said director Jim Easton. He adds that QIPP i. e. quality, innovation, productivity and prevention is necessary certainly and therefore there should be less reliance on hospitals and more focus on services’ enhancement.
