Since a long time wind turbine farms have been the topics of discussion in the region. Concerning that the turbines could terribly affect the health of the people residing in the nearby regions, the locals urged the Health Canada to consider the project again.

Since Health Canada has yet not finished its study over the affects of turbines on human health, politicians and community advocates have started requesting the concerned authorities to put a halt on the development of wind turbine farms.

Health Canada can submit its findings till the year 2014, till then the locals and the legal servers are demanding moratorium for wind turbine farms project.

Ms. Lisa Thompson, the MPP for Huron Bruce, is also supporting the call for moratorium. She clearly said at a press conference on Friday that “All facts point [to the fact] that we are going too fast, so let’s hit that pause button right now.”

In its statement of last week, Health Canada revealed it plans of sending 25 independent experts in acoustics to assess health of 2,000 homes and residents, who are living in the region nearby wind turbine farms across the country.

The Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) is not concluding the call a necessity. They added that the research and experience to date has shown no such adverse impact upon human health.
