Mr. William LaFever has finally returned back home from his so-called self decided 3-week adventurous trip in Utah desert.
The 6 feet 4 inches tall has weighed down to approx 128 pounds from his before the mission weight of 165 pounds. He was finally rescued on July 12 at around 3:30 p. m. from the remote desert of southeastern Utah by a team of rescuers, who while searching him in the helicopter noticed him sitting and enjoying his time in the river.
Officials immediately flew the 28-years-old autistic sufferer to an area hospital. They confirmed that William was at a high risk of losing his life in next 24 hours if he would not have been timely rescued.
He was admitted in the hospital and was being treated for malnourishment. He was finally discharged from the hospital on Thursday and soon he reunited with his family in Colorado after his adventurous trip started in June.
"I didn't think I was going to die out there. I never believed that. It just wasn't time. In total, I was about 35 days in the desert. My journey began on June 3," LaFever said.
Mr. LaFever believes that his will power survived him through all the days of his adventurous trip.
