Recent reports have revealed that MPs have asked for provisions that allow casinos to be able to move to other locations conveniently and on the other hand, betting shops should be assisted with more slot machines.

Moreover, it has been administrated that even Commons culture committee has proposed that gaming and betting industries should be freed from regulations, as the society is day by day getting more involved in the trend of gambling.

It has been highlighted that people around the globe are more inclined towards these activities and with time passing, there has been an increase in number of people opting for such activities.

The MPs said, “The location of casinos and the number of fixed-odds terminals allowed in betting shops should be set by councils rather than central diktat”. It has been suggested that the fixed-odd terminals will help increase the speed, thus it will strengthen gambling.

However, it has been reported that LGA has criticized the proposed plans. Moreover, Clyde Loakes (Lab) of the association’s environment and housing board asserted that the proposals are completely irrelevant.

It was further emphasized that a raise in the quantity of slot machines in the betting shops is completely unreasonable and also makes no sense.
