New estimates of researchers are clearly urging young people to not use sun beds because their study has shown almost double risks of them developing the deadliest form of skin cancer.

Researchers have warned in their findings that sun beds have increased the risks of skin cancer by almost 20 percent in all the people, who used sun beds no matter at whatever stage in their lives.

They explained that the devices used in the tanning procedure trigger malignant melanoma in users. Almost 400+ Britons are facing these troubles every year, worrying is the report that says 100 people are dying each year because of this disease, and moreover, the number of over 50s suffering melanoma has tripled in last 30 years.

The above findings were published in the British Medical Journal. The study was led by Dr. Mathieu Boniol, of the International Prevention Research Institute, Lyon, France.

He said that “Powerful ultraviolet tanning units may be 10-15 times stronger than the midday sunlight on the Mediterranean sea, and repeated exposure to large amounts of ultraviolet A delivered to the skin in relatively short periods.”
