A recent study has found that brain capability of seven years old children and that of a bird is equivalent. You might be surprised to know that mental capability of birds and children until the age of seven is the same.

For the study, researchers of Cambridge University conducted tests over girls and boys. However, after turning eight years, the brain of children developed swiftly as compared to the birds.

The researchers used the thirsty crow story to gauge the difference between the mental capabilities of the children. The findings have been published in the renowned pages of journal PLoS ONE.

While commenting upon the findings of the researchers, Lucy Cheke, a PhD student said, “For a child, if it works, it works. The birds, however, found it much harder to learn what was happening because they were put off by the fact it shouldn’t be happening”.

It is hoped that the findings of the study would help the researchers and scientists in understanding as to how the brain of a child develops. It is for the very first time when a similarity between birds’ brain and that of children has been found.
