It seems like researchers and health experts are wasting their precious time by raising alarm against obesity as Britons are continuously consuming high fat food and saying no to vegetables and fruits.
It has been found that only one third of total adult population in Britain is serious about healthy food intake. Similarly, only one in 10 children consumes fruits and vegetables. The researchers have been warning about the health risk associated with consumption of high calories.
It is estimated that about half of the adults are having high cholesterol levels. A survey conducted by the Health Department has found that a quarter of adults are having high blood pressure. High blood pressure can cause heart attack to people.
Tracy Parker from British Heart Foundation was reported saying, "The nation is consuming too much saturated fat and too many people have high cholesterol - a major risk factor for heart and circulatory disease".
People are failing to understand the importance of fruits and vegetables. Health experts have recommended that a person should consume fruits and vegetable in a day. Health diet is the only way to prevent obesity. It is hoped that Britons would take serious note of the recommendations and will act accordingly.
