A New Scheme Introduced by Welfare Ministry for Mesothelioma Sufferers

In the UK, there are thousands of employees suffering from mesothelioma who are unable to claim compensation for their treatment. Reason: they are either unable to locate the legally accountable employers else they do not found the employers’ liability insurer. They do not even receive £300m in payments in the initial 10 years.

In order to overcome the situation and offer help to such victims, the Minister for Welfare Lord Freud and the Association of British Insurers have announced to introduce a new support scheme with the help of which around 3000 recently diagnosed victims of Swindon Disease, will be supported.

Swindon Disease is a terrible disease which brings in rare symptoms and unique side effects. Therefore the government has decided to help the sufferers of it with an additional amount. The insurance industry is already helping them with £200m every year.

As said by Lord Freud in this regard, “We have worked tirelessly together with the insurance industry to agree this package of measures on behalf of those who face this terrible disease”.

This would be for the first time that sufferers of diffuse mesothelioma will get an access to some extra amount.

Depending upon the primary legislation, this new scheme will come into force and it would be mandatory for all employers’ liability insurers to get the membership of it.
