Campaign Launched to bring Awareness about Trafficking

On Friday, the International Labour Organization has launched a campaign to bring awareness among the people about the trafficking. The Organization informed that all over the world, about 20 million people have become the victim of trafficking.

As a part of the campaign, the Organization is providing gifts to the walker in which the reality about the trafficking is provided. The information provided to the people pertains to the number of the trafficking cases and about the story of the victims.

The information about the trafficking has been provided by the United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking (UN. GIFT). While shedding light over trafficking, the International Labour Organization said, “Every minute of every hour of every day, men, women and children are forced to travel around the world to make gold for someone else: they have been trafficked”.

It has further been informed that all over the world about three in 1,000 people are forced to work for someone else. About 90% of the total population of trafficking is believed to be exploited by individuals and businesspersons. When it comes to sexual exploitation, about 22% of the trafficking is carried it for the same. There is a need to make the laws stricter so that the culprits could be punished for disturbing the lives of others.
