It has been reported that a second clinic has been established to provide free vaccination to the city workers affected with hepatitis A. Yesterday, about 164 people went to the clinic to get themselves vaccinated against hepatitis A.

Health officials have launched warnings for the people who have bought food from food at SumoSalad on Kent Street, located in Sydney. A staff at SumoSalad has been diagnosed with hepatitis A. It has been informed that yesterday about 153 people who visited the SumoSalad did get themselves vaccinated against hepatitis A.

Hepatitis A can be transmitted to people through contact. It is hoped that the clinic would help in preventing hepatitis A cases in the region. NSW Ministry of Health has issued a warning of hepatitis A saying, “We urge anyone who may have been exposed to these food products to receive a hepatitis A vaccination as quickly as possible to develop some protection from developing the infection”.

People have responded to the warning quite swiftly as a large number of people are visiting clinic to get free vaccination. It has come to light that the staff got affected with hepatitis A while holidaying in Indonesia.
