Strike declared by beach clubs in the peak season has worst affected the Italian beaches, which were really devoid of their usual August crowds amid strike.

The strike is being followed by the beach workers' union in an effort to protest against the government plan of allowing right to operate patches of seafront, which are actually the state property, to the ones, who will be decided by auction from 2016.

The effect of the strike was seen on the colorful beaches as with temperatures rising to 35 degrees Celsius on Friday, the rows of the beaches saw no rush.

The beach operators have clearly showcased their conflict against the changes under the EU Services Directive aimed at liberalizing their licences.
