A Chicago doctor died a heroic death while saving two young boys, who hot stuck in Lake Michigan. Dr. Donald Liu, 50, was enjoying a quite weekend with family at a Berrien County beach, and that was the time when he saw two men struggling in the dangerous waves of the lake.

In order to save them, he went into the lake and was able to save them, but he got stuck in the whirlpool. The current was so strong that it did not let him to overcome it and he lost his life.

Dr. Jeffrey Matthews, who is heading the surgery department at the University Of Chicago Hospitals, was of the view that it was not the first time when Liu has saved children. He has died a heroic death and would be remembered for his contributions.

While taking about the incident when Liu saved the youngsters, it has been revealed through Brandon Underwood, who is a U. S. Coast Guard Petty Officer, that police was being called and they also helped the two men to come at the safer place and gave them life jackets.

"I'm really sad that my dad died because every time he would come home from work at 5 o'clock, even though he didn't have to, he would play baseball”, said Asher, Liu’s son.
