The mini-vacuum that was initially used to treat heart problems of adult patients has now played a magic to the life of a youngster also.

Albert Tansey, a youngster born with half heart suffered from heart attack last month. Upon diagnosis, doctors found a clot in his heart which was lethal for him. They insisted his parents to allow for a surgery that has never been done before. And following their approval, doctors started their work.

This child was born with hypoplastic heart syndrome, due to which, the left side of his heart was not formed properly. And therefore when he was a week old, the first open heart surgery was performed over him. After Nine months, doctors once again operated him and finally his life was saved.

It was during last month, when Albert once again collapsed at home with chest pains and was immediately rushed to Leicester’s Glenfield hospital. Upon realizing heart failure due to a clot in his heart, doctors for the first time operated a child with the mini vacuum cleaner so that, the clot could be sucked away. They finally succeeded in clearing the blocked artery and restoring blood flow.

Albert is now out of danger and is recovering at home with his family.
