In an advent to help clinicians gain knowledge immediately anywhere, professionals have developed an online video training program. The program made a successful trial in the Mid North Coast and has been launched today in Coffs Harbour.

HealtheTube, the new online training program has been designed to serve with clinical training all 24X7. It forms the most important part of the Mid North Coast Local Health District's (MNCLHD) commitment, which aims to provide ongoing training to its highly-skilled workforce.

According to the statements of the MNCLHD Governing Board Member and Coffs Harbour Base Hospital Clinician, Dr Joanna Sutherland, it got cleared that patients can also benefit from this new technology. It has been attached with a QR code option to immediately link patients to the service and enable them gain the video training facility as per their need. The codes are mentioned in the patient information brochures for their easy access anytime.

After running trials for almost two years at Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, Macksville and Dorrigo Health Campuses, HealtheTube has been introduced.

"HealtheTube utilizes new technology which allows clinicians to access information anywhere, anytime, via desktop computers at work, home and through mobile devices such as smart phones," the project manager Ms. Carolyn Guichard.
