She had simply slept after a round of renovations at her home, when five days later she woke up with an irritating itch in one of her ears. Ms. Lee then decided to visit a doctor when the itching got worsened, intelligently and luckily avoiding scratching her ear.
It has been revealed in the report that the woman who has got her treatment from the Changsha Central Hospital in Hunan had almost cried when she got relief from the itching along with the spider that was residing inside her ear.
As per the sources, while she had gone to sleep, a spider crawled into the ear and the same was the cause of her prickle. Since, the arachnid was wiggling as well as tickling inside. However, Ms. Lee’s timely visit to the hospice prevented its barbs on the legs from entering her skin.
It is being said that the spider had probably done so, so as to find a shelter for itself. "The insects are probably entering the canal as harborage, for heat, and/or for moisture”, said entomology Professor Philip Koehler from University of Florida.
Doctors were concerned that extracting equipment may cause the spider to bite her. Thus, a saline solution was used to get the same out, the report finds.
