NASA’s Latest Rover to Mars Harshly Falls Down

NASA’s new space rover that has been under testing for almost a year has failed in its mission, a recent report has revealed. However, luckily, the accident has not caused any injury to anyone.

The spacecraft named Morpheus though took-off very nicely from the Kennedy Space Centre, it eventually crashed down at the same spot. However, engineers have started to look for the reason behind the accident. Details have but not been out as yet, the report says.

It has been found that the rover had been sent to land on Mars as well as was being planned for conducting other missions down the road at some other places. The failure of the same has but disappointed one and all in the agency. Since, hopes were really high after the success of a previous similar rover named Curiosity, which had landed at Mars last week only.

“The vehicle lifted off the ground successfully but then experienced a hardware component failure, which prevented it from maintaining stable flight”, said NASA.

The report further says that the spacecraft was burst into flames during its trial. With all its parts ruined by the crash, it is now only left with a few remnants to salvage.
