This Paralympic event, even the disabled parents will be able to sit along their children and other family members to enjoy the sports.

Upon knowing this, a disabled mother Melissa Chapin, who was earlier quite worried to know that whether she’ll be able to sit next to her children at some Paralympic events or not, happily told Channel 4 News that this news is really a grand one as it brings a lot of appreciation to the Paralympic organizers too. But besides this, much more could still be done for disabled people like her.

When Chapin bought tickets for herself, her carer and her eight-year-old twins for watching volleyball at the ExCel arena and other events including boccia, table tennis and power lifting, she was not sure that whether a Locog ticket agent would allow all of them to sit together. But then she was told by the organizers that if she makes herself known to a warden in the beginning, then surely she will be allowed to sit with her children.

As told by the Locog agent, this time, it has been ensured that accessible seating is arranged for the wheelchair users all over the Games venues. And no kind of isolation has been made in regard to this.
