It has been reported that a funding of $5.5 million has been made towards New England Aquarium by National Science Foundation. The funding has been made with the aim of bringing awareness among the people regarding climate change.
The funding was announced on Friday. The funding will be made in a period of 5 years. The funding will be invested over National Network for Ocean and Climate Change Interpretation. The President and Chief Executive of the aquarium, Bud Ris, said: “We are aiming to shift the dialogue about climate change to a tone that is interesting, positive, and leads to a problem-solving mind set”.
There is need to bring awareness among the people about the rapidly changing climate. It is hoped that the funding would help in making people aware about the adverse climate change which are affecting the lives of people as well.
Climate change is already having havoc over the life of people. Heat waves and floods are some of its examples. We can help in reducing the adverse effect of climate change by reducing air pollution emitted by our vehicles. Moreover, efforts are also required to be put to preserve natural resources.
