There are some couples who find it hard to have even one child and there are some who are blessed with lots of kids. It has been reported that a woman of 48 years is due to give birth to quintuplets.

The woman is from Melbourne. She already has 10 children and another five are awaited. No help of famous IVF treatment was taken by the woman. Doctors reported that the chances of a woman conceiving quintuplets is bleak as one in 55 million women is conceived with quintuplets.

Besides, the age factor has further confused the doctors. After the age of 45, women’s reproductive system becomes weak. The Melbourne woman is 48 years old and pregnant with quintuplets. Obstetrician Dr. Len Kilman was reported saying, “Fertility naturally declines and to conceive spontaneously after the age of 45 is particularly uncommon and to have a multiple pregnancy after the age of 45 is particularly uncommon”.

If the women successfully fives birth to quintuplets then she would be first one in Victory to have done so in the past three decades. The woman is due to give birth at Monash Medical Centre. The woman is all happy and excited to give birth to her awaited quintuplets.
