Work load is increasing and so are more doctors feeling drained, found the new research from U. S. researchers.
In their findings recently, researchers have bought out the fact that almost one in every two doctors is feeling the increased work pressure and hence most of them are burned out showing clear signs of emotional exhaustion with no interest at all in their work.
With everyday doctors are lacking interest and their patience too then who will patients move on to, to get treatments for their illnesses, a worrying question, right?
The study that has been published today in the Archives of Internal Medicine has especially pointed the doctors, who work in emergency departments, family and internal medicine to be more affected as compared to other category doctors.
Researchers found in the research that doctors working for longer hours were also noted burned out, the figures were 37% among physicians, who worked more than 60 hours a week.
Expressing his views over the issue, Mr. Tait Shanafelt, a professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic and lead study author said that the figures of the research are surprising and worrying too, which if continues will see more physicians quitting in the future.
