It is known to almost everyone that mobile companies have halted the provision of unlimited data plans since long. But, a recent report has unfolded that the smaller wireless companies such as T-Mobile are reinstating the service once again.
Yes, USA-based and nation’s fourth-largest cellphone company T-Mobile has announced this Wednesday that it would be making available an unlimited-data plan by September 5 this year. As per the findings, the company along with MetroPCS, have found this as a way to promote their businesses while competing with AT&T and Verizon.
The second-largest carrier in USA, AT&T, had stopped the unlimited data plans some two years back only. Also, Verizon Wireless, which is at the leading position, did the same the previous year. They have rather increased the limits on messages and calls.
It has been found that T-Mobile USA and MetroPCS have been inspired by Sprint Nextel Corp., the company at the third place. Since, it is already into providing an unlimited-data plan, which is helping it in gathering more customers for the smartphones it sells.
MetroPCS even cut its unlimited-data plan’s price for a certain period so as to promote the service, the report says. It would probably be available at $55 per month with T-Mobile’s plan at $30 per month.
