Choice over the sex of a baby has been banned in Britain, UK, which is a noble law though. A report has uncovered recently that the same has given rise to a large number of commutations by British women.

It has been found that the women seeking to balance their families in their own particular way are travelling to New York and Los Angeles to get the same job done.

Also, the work is successfully carried out as doctors check the fertilised eggs, thereby fitting into them an embryo to determine if the demanded sex can be achieved. A statement by Dr. Jeffrey Steinberg, a British-trained doctor, is evidence that some 40 couples from Britain get appointment for the service each year.

As per his say, some 400 couples have been given pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) by him till date. The report says that the technique is the only one offering complete accuracy. Even his website’s message reads, 'If you want to be certain your next child will be the gender you are hoping for, no other method comes close to the reliability of PGD’.

Since, the New York is near about seven or eight hours from Europe, a dozen people are seen coming from France, Germany, Middle East and Spain as well.
