Ohio will soon be implementing alterations in its medical care, which are proposed to be appropriate for those patients in the state, who are severely ill and need expensive treatments for their better health. It is being believed that the changes will help the system co-ordinate in better manner.
Gov. John Kasich's administration aspires to rationalize the health care system provided to the residents of the state, who registered with either the Medicare or Medicaid.
Following which, the state puts forth a proposal to federal government, which laid emphasis on the better co-ordination regarding care of an estimated 114,000 individuals putting up in seven different urbanized areas.
However, it is yet to be decided, which of the regions in the state would be chosen where the proposal would be operating.
The proposals, which have been listed out as final to be implemented are Aetna Better Health, Molina Healthcare of Ohio, CareSource, are amongst the two others selected.
However, the federal officials are yet to give a formal permission of implementing the proposals and they are yet to sign the proposal and contract.
Ohio Medicaid Director John McCarthy said, “He’s looking forward to the state moving forward with its proposal. He said negotiations are ongoing with federal officials on the plan”.
